Citibank Credit Cards in Singapore - MoneySmart's Recommended Top 3 Cards

Maybe you’ve gone to visit the Citibank Credit Card site and could not figure out half of what you were looking at when browsing the many product pages. And on top of that, there are constant changes to their product line which have got you a little confused and uncertain as to what you should be basing your decision on?

So, apart from going to a credit card comparison site, you’re going to be spending a lot of time figuring out what works best for you. We’ve done that work here in the first article of our series, and we start by looking at the best Citibank credit cards in Singapore:

So with that in mind, we’ve decided to pick the Citi PremierMiles Visa Card version instead. Also, if we ever meet in person, remind me to tell you an interesting story about how this card was created.

Who This Is Good For: This card isn’t just for people who travel a lot, but if you’re also going to spend a lot overseas, either for business or pleasure, this is a decent card to get. Coupled with good travel benefits, this is great for business travellers. The funny thing is that in terms of miles accrual, it’s not that great because of the next card, which brings us to…

Citi Rewards Card

    • Enjoy discounts of up to 50% at Foodpanda, Lazada, Zalora, Reebonz, and moreS$1 spent = 1 Rewards point (All other spend)

In the suite of Citibank cards, nothing helps you accrue anything as fast as the Citibank Rewards Card. An aggressive rewards program that allows you to collect up to 20X Rewards for every $1 spent in certain places, including shopping online, also happens to translate to 8 Miles for every dollar.

Of course, the accelerated rewards program is primarily based on local spend so if you are spending more money overseas, then you’d still want to look at the Citi PremierMiles card if you want to collect air miles. There’s also a points transfer transaction fee of $25 for this card.

Age requirements: 21 years and above

Min. Income: For Singaporeans and PRs, minimum annual income of S$30,000. For foreigners, minimum annual income to qualify is S$60,000.

For a full list of all redeemable items, you can refer here.

Who This Is Good For: If you’re the sort who happens to make a lot of purchases in department stores, or shops online a lot, this is a fantastic card to have. The 10X Rewards program is one of the most popular on the market, and where some other cards take you ages (and thousands of dollars) just to get a measly $20 voucher, the wide variety of things you can get just by spending $1,500 a month certainly makes this a worthy competitor to the Citi Cash Back Card, or any other rewards card for that matter.
