If you haven’t heard, the UOB One Credit Card is more generous than ever; with up to 10% rebate on Shopee Singapore! It was recently enhanced with rebates on daily essentials purchased at Shopee in addition to Dairy Farm Singapore and Grab.
Yes, we’re talking about a generous rebate of up to 10% at popular online marketplace Shopee, over 600 outlets islandwide for your daily essentials — click here for the full list of Dairy Farm Singapore merchants and Grab transactions (GrabFood, Grab Mart and rides excluding mobile wallet top-ups).
We thought we had it good with rebates on transport, food delivery, utilities and more. Now, with online shopping, groceries, health and beauty, and convenience stores thrown into the mix, the UOB One Credit Card is hands down a well-rounded rebate card suited for our day-to-day needs.
Let’s take a closer look at the new rebate categories that have been added to the UOB One Credit Card:
New: Marketplace
The UOB One Credit Card has been recently updated with a new marketplace perk, where cardholders can enjoy an additional 5% rebate on Shopee Singapore spend (excludes ShopeePay).
I can see that grin spreading from ear-to-ear on your face — that was my reaction as well because I’m both a UOB One Credit Cardholder AND an avid Shopee shopper. This literally is like the best of both worlds for me and probably for many other people as well.
In addition to the 5% rebate on Shopee Singapore spend, you can also enjoy these other exclusive privileges:
- Special discount on Big Campaign Days
- S$6 off s-mart with S$55 min. spend
- Exclusive deals on Super Brand Days
- Exclusive promotions on pre-launch products
Groceries
Cardholders can also earn rebates when they shop in-stores or online at Giant, Cold Storage, Market Place, Jasons and Jasons Deli.
Grocery shopping will never be the same again (at least in my case). I actually shop at Cold Storage, Market Place and Jasons a lot, because these supermarkets tend to stock the more “atas” (high-end) gourmet items that can be difficult to find in neighbourhood supermarkets.
For example, instead of Pagoda Salt, I need Maldon Sea Salt Flakes for a sous-vide steak recipe I’m attempting at home. Not to mention a good cut of prime Angus beef, which I can pick up at Jasons Deli. With the rebate, this means my budget allows for more fancy steak dinners!
It’s also nice to see Giant on the list as well, for my everyday essentials like milk, soya sauce, leafy vegetables, bread, eggs, toiletries and the like.
Do you know? When you purchase groceries online, you can select from Home Delivery or self-collection (Click & Collect). Both options allow you to select a delivery/pick-up time slot for your convenience. This service is available for both Cold Storage and Giant. |
Health and beauty
With UOB One Credit Card’s Dairy Farm Singapore rebate, this means I’ll be visiting Guardian more often. And it’s a good thing too, because there are at least 2 stores close to me and easily over 100 outlets islandwide.
What I like about Guardian is that, in addition to its wide selection of health, beauty and personal care products, I can also pop in for a quick consultation with its pharmacists.
And because I’ve already got too many membership cards in my wallet, having a fuss-free rebate on my Guardian purchase with my existing UOB One Credit Card definitely helps.
Did I mention that I don’t even need to leave my home? There’s free home delivery when you spend just $40 at Guardian’s online store. Gone are the days of me lugging back home my stockpile of toiletries, vitamins and supplements, facial cleansers and more…
Convenience stores
7-Eleven, it’s a store and more… especially when there are UOB One Credit Card rebates thrown in.
I have to confess, 7-Eleven is my favourite convenience store chain in Singapore — can’t beat the butter chicken (it makes a quick and yummy lunch on a busy work day), Mr Softee, Slurpees, local-flavour onigiri (rice balls), Japanese snacks and other tasty treats here.
So I’m pleased as punch that I can now use my UOB One Credit Card to earn rebates when I grab stuff at any 7-Eleven.
UOB One Credit Card’s existing benefits
In addition to the new slew of Dairy Farm Singapore rebates, UOB One Credit Card’s existing benefits already include generous rebates (up to S$2,400 a year!) on broad spending categories; from transport to food delivery, utilities and more.
So if you’re using the UOB One Credit Card to pay for your Singapore Power utilities bill, you’ll get up to 6% rebate; while using the same card to book a Grab ride or order GrabFood delivery would net you up to 10% rebate.
The blanket up to 5% rebate on all retail spend is also a sweet, sweet deal.
