Agoda Promo Codes – Citibank, DBS, HSBC, UOB Credit Card Promotions (2022)

Few friends I know actually makes their travel bookings via airline or hotel websites anymore. Most of us make our travel and hotel bookings through travel aggregators because it’s simply the easiest and fastest way to compare the cheapest flight and accommodation prices.

Agoda is one of these popular “travel search engines”, and lucky for us, they’ve tie-ups with almost all the banks in Singapore. Here’s a helpful list of all the current and best Agoda promo codes and credit card promotions.

Agoda Promo Codes 2022 (updated May 2022)

Most of Agoda’s promotions are with credit cards, namely Citibank, DBS, POSB, HSBC, and UOB. Few years back, Agoda used to release spontaneous promo codes with very short validity periods – typically 1 to 2 weeks – to keep users on the edge of their seats checking back for promotions from time to time.

These days, Agoda seems to have automatically integrates the discounts into their listing prices and releases coupons for their members instead. So, you’ll need to sign up for an Agoda discount to claim the coupon into your account (kinda like the old Qoo10).

Here are all the Agoda coupons and credit card promotions available on their website right now. Note that most of the promotions that are “ongoing” have actually expired in 2021:

Agoda’s promotions are super sneaky. Be wary of the promotions that you see splashed all over the Agoda website and their deals page – most of the promotions are not valid. Take the 10% off Asian hotels promotion for instance, the promotion was only valid between 2 August and 31 Dec 2021 (last year!).

Agoda Credit Card Promotions (updated May 2022)

For Agoda credit card promotions, there is no promo code necessary. You just need to click into the specific bank x Agoda website (all linked below) and book your hotel with the promotional credit card. Here’s an overview of the current discounts:

So far, offers from OCBC, Citibank, and HSBC seem the most attractive. Some of these promotions end on 31 May 2022 and your stay must be either before 31 December 2022.

Best OCBC credit card for air miles and travel bookings

If you’ve got an OCBC credit card, you’re in luck. You can get a whooping 20% off prepaid hotel stays when you book on Agoda. However, the discount you can get is capped at $30.

Best for bonus miles with UOB PRVI Miles Card

If UOB’s all you’ve got, then you could have gotten 20% off hotel bookings worldwide up till 31 August 2021. If you’ve already made your booking, you will need to complete your stay by 31 December 2022.

If you have the UOB PRVI Miles card, you could have earned a neat 6 miles for each Singapore dollar spent.

Citibank Agoda promotions – 18% off hotels

Citibank offers 18% off worldwide destinations like most cards in the table.

If you own the Citi PremierMiles card, you also get up to 7 miles per dollar spent in foreign currency.

Best Citibank credit cards for air miles and travel bookings:

DBS/POSB Agoda promotions – 7% off bookings

Checking out with your DBS and POSB cards will give you 7% off hotels in Singapore and worldwide.

There’s also another promotion which gives you $45 off with a minimum spend of $300 – essentially a 15% discount. This DBS Agoda promotion requires you to use the promo code DBSMAY. You will also need to be the first 200 redemptions for the month to get the promo.

Best DBS/POSB credit cards for air miles and travel bookings:

Amex Agoda promotions – 8% off bookings

If you have an American Express card, you would have been able to get 8% off your hotel bookings worldwide if you booked by 11 July 2021.

Made a booking with the Amex Agoda promo already? Do note that the “stay by” deadline for all Amex deals was 31 Mar 2022, so if you haven’t used it, you won’t be able to use it for your year-end travels.

HSBC Agoda promotions – 15% off Singapore staycations, 7% off worldwide

HSBC cardholders also enjoy 7% on worldwide hotel bookings.

If you can’t afford a holiday and just want a staycay, HSBC actually has a promo for that – it’s 15% off all local staycation bookings. The “stay by” deadline is pretty generous and only ends on 30 June 2023.

Maybank Agoda promotions – 7% off bookings worldwide

Maybank cardholders get 7% on hotel bookings worldwide when you book your stay by 31 December 2022. You will need to complete your hotel stay by 30 June 2023

Best Maybank credit cards for air miles and travel bookings:

Standard Chartered Agoda promotions – 7% off worldwide hotel bookings

Standard Chartered credit cards had a 7% off worldwide hotel bookings promotion that was valid for bookings and stay till 31 December 2021. Do note that this promotion has expired and there are no current SCB Agoda deals going on.

CIMB Agoda promotions – 8% off hotels worldwide

CIMB’s Agoda promotion is similar to most banks, 8% off hotel bookings worldwide. Bookings ended on 31 May 2021, and the stay period ended on 31 December 2021.

Singtel Dash Agoda cashback promotion – 5% cashback on hotels worldwide

Although not a credit card per se, if you are a Singtel Dash user, you have your very own Agoda promotion going on.

The Singtel Dash Agoda promo gives you 5% cashback on your Agoda bookings. Naturally, your payment must be made with a Singtel Dash card and the 5% cashback will be credited to your Dash wallet when your booking is completed during the promo period.

This promotion started on 7 June 2021 but there is no end date stated so… it must be still going on right?
