If you haven't been keeping track, January 2026 brings some immediate payouts you should know about. For HDB residents, your final U-Save and S&CC rebates for FY2025 (up to $190) are being credited to your account this month.
Now, let's talk about what's coming in 2026. GST Voucher Cash payouts expected in August, Medisave top-ups for seniors aged 65+, and a whole new cycle of quarterly U-Save and S&CC rebates kicking off in April.
Here's the thing: Budget 2026 is dropping on 12 Feb 2026, and that's when we'll get confirmation on the exact 2026 amounts and any changes to eligibility. Until then, what we're sharing below is based on the 2025 framework. If the trend continues, 2026 is shaping up to be another strong year for cost-of-living support.

What is the GST Voucher scheme?
The permanent GST Voucher scheme was introduced in Budget 2012 to help lower- and middle-income Singaporeans cope with GST increases and the rising cost of living.
The scheme has 4 main components:
- GST Voucher – Cash: Direct money credited to your bank account, typically in August each year.
- GST Voucher – Medisave: Top-ups to your CPF Medisave account for seniors aged 65 and above, also in August.
- GST Voucher – U-Save: Quarterly rebates that offset your utilities bills (electricity, water, gas). Credited automatically to your SP Services account in January, April, July, and October.
- GST Voucher – S&CC: Quarterly rebates that offset your Town Council Service & Conservancy Charges. Credited automatically in January, April, July, and October.
The GST Voucher is a permanent scheme, meaning it's here to stay. But the amounts and eligibility criteria can change from year to year, usually announced during the annual Budget. That's why February 12, 2026 matters—it's when we'll know exactly what the 2026 payouts will be.
What's available RIGHT NOW this month?
U-Save & S&CC Rebates (January 2026) – Final quarter of FY2025
If you live in an HDB flat, you're getting the final quarter of FY2025 rebates this month. According to the Ministry of Finance, over 950,000 households are benefiting from this round.
Here's what you're getting based on your flat type:
| HDB Flat Type | U-Save (January 2026) | S&CC Rebate |
| 1-/2-room | $190 | Up to 0.5 month |
| 3-room | $170 | Up to 0.5 month |
| 4-room | $150 | Up to 0.5 month |
| 5-room | $130 | Up to 0.5 month |
| Executive/Multi-gen | $110 | Up to 0.5 month |
This wraps up your FY2025 support, which ran from April 2025 through to January 2026. Over the full year, 1- and 2-room flat households got up to $760 in U-Save rebates and up to 3.5 months of S&CC rebates.
You don't need to do anything. They'll be automatically applied to your SP Services utilities bill and your Town Council statements.
Who qualifies for U-Save & S&CC?
This is one of the more inclusive components. You will qualify if:
- You live in an HDB flat
- At least one Singapore Citizen owner or occupier in the household
- Household members own no more than one property in total
- No income or age restrictions
What's coming in 2026? (Budget 2026 and GST Voucher cycle)
Let's talk about the bigger picture. Here's what 2026 looks like.
Budget 2026 – The big announcement on February 12
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will deliver Budget 2026 in Parliament on Thursday, February 12, 2026. This is when we'll find out:
- GST Voucher 2026 amounts (Cash, Medisave, U-Save, S&CC)
- Any changes to eligibility criteria
- New cost-of-living support measures, if any
You can watch it live on TV, radio, or via the Singapore Budget website.
Expected timeline for 2026 GST Voucher payouts
Based on how things have worked in previous years, here's the likely schedule:
- August 2026: GST Voucher Cash and Medisave credited
- April, July, October 2026, and January 2027: Quarterly U-Save and S&CC rebates (FY2026 cycle)
This timeline has been consistent year after year, so it's a safe bet these are the months to watch.
Who is eligible for GST Voucher in 2026?
Budget 2026 will confirm the final details, but eligibility tends to follow a pretty consistent pattern. Here's what the 2025 criteria looked like (likely to continue in 2026):
GST Voucher – Cash eligibility
To qualify for the Cash component, you need to tick all five boxes:
- Singapore Citizen, residing in Singapore
- Aged 21 and above in 2026
- Assessable Income ≤ $39,000 for Year of Assessment 2025 (income earned in 2024)
- Annual Value ≤ $31,000 as at 31 December 2025
- Own ≤ 1 property (no multiple property owners)
The income threshold was increased from $34,000 in 2024 to $39,000 in 2025, and the Annual Value cap was raised from $21,000 to $31,000, allowing more Singaporeans to qualify.
You can check your eligibility and income details via the IRAS MyTax Portal, and verify GST Voucher eligibility at govbenefits.gov.sg after Budget 2026.
GST Voucher – Medisave eligibility
For seniors, the Medisave top-up requires:
- Singapore Citizen, residing in Singapore
- Aged 65 and above in 2026
- Annual Value ≤ $31,000 as at 31 December 2025
- Own ≤ 1 property
- No income requirement – even retired seniors with no earnings can qualify
This is a key difference from Cash: Medisave does NOT have an income cap, making it more accessible for seniors.
GST Voucher – U-Save & S&CC eligibility
For utilities and Town Council rebates:
- Live in an HDB flat
- At least one Singapore Citizen owner or occupier (if owner-occupied or partially rented)
- At least one Singapore Citizen tenant (if fully rented out)
- Household members own ≤ 1 property in total
- No income, age, or flat type restrictions
U-Save and S&CC are the most universal components—if you live in HDB and meet the property ownership rule, you likely qualify.
What is the Annual Value of my property?
According to IRAS, the Annual Value of a property is the estimated gross annual rent if it were to be rented out, excluding furniture, furnishings and maintenance fees.
In layman terms, think of the Annual Value as what your property would be worth if you were to rent it out for a year. The higher your Annual Value, the more valuable your property is (theoretically). That's why they use Annual Value as a gauge to determine how much GST Voucher you would receive.
The Annual Value is set by IRAS once a year on 1 Jan, and AV notices are sent to property owners by 28 Feb every year.
Thankfully, there's a quick and easy way to check the Annual Value of your property. Log in to IRAS MyTax Portal and go to "View Property Portfolio" and you can see the current AV of your property.
If you need to check the Annual Value of someone else's property, you can also do so via the IRAS' Check Annual Value of Property at a $2.50 fee per search.
When will GST Voucher 2026 payouts happen?
Here's the expected calendar for 2026. We've laid it out so you know exactly when to expect what:
| Month | What's Happening | Action Required? |
| Jan 2026 | Final U-Save & S&CC rebates for FY2025 (happening now) | No—automatic credit. Check your bills. |
| 12 Feb 2026 | Budget 2026 announcement—2026 amounts confirmed | No—just tune in if you want to watch |
| Before Jul 2026 | Deadline to link PayNow and sign up (if you are first-timers) | Yes—if you're new or need to update details |
| Aug 2026 | GST Voucher Cash & Medisave credited | No—check your bank & CPF accounts |
| Apr, Jul, Oct 2026, Jan 2027 | Quarterly U-Save & S&CC rebates (FY2026 cycle) | No—automatic credit. Check bills quarterly. |
How much can I expect to get in 2026?
Quick heads-up: Budget 2026 on 12 Feb 2026 will lock in the exact amounts for this year. What we're sharing below is how things worked in 2025, which gives us a solid baseline for what to expect. If the government sticks to the trend, 2026 should look similar—or even better.
GST Voucher – Cash (Expected Aug 2026)
In 2025, eligible Singaporeans received:
| Annual Value (as at 31 Dec 2024) | Amount Received (2025) |
| Up to $21,000 | $850 |
| $21,001 to $31,000 | $450 |
The Cash payout in 2025 was a significant increase from 2024. In 2024, the amounts disbursed were $700 (AV ≤ $21,000) and $350 (AV $21,001-$31,000). 2025’s increase reflected the government's commitment to supporting lower- and middle-income households during cost-of-living challenges.
If 2026 follows the 2025 framework, eligible Singaporeans could receive between $450 and $850, depending on their home's Annual Value. We'll know for sure after Budget 2026.
GST Voucher – Medisave (Expected Aug 2026)
In 2025, eligible seniors received Medisave top-ups ranging from $150 to $450:
| Age in 2025 | AV ≤ $21,000 | AV $21,001-$31,000 |
| 65-74 years | $250 | $150 |
| 75-84 years | $350 | $250 |
| 85+ years | $450 | $350 |
These top-ups go straight into your CPF Medisave Account. You can use them for medical bills, MediShield Life premiums, and approved treatments—not just for yourself, but for your immediate family too, regardless of their nationality.
If you qualified in 2025, you didn't need to do anything—it would just be credited into your CPF in August. The same process is expected for 2026.
GST Voucher – U-Save (FY2026: Apr 2026 to Jan 2027)
For FY2025, U-Save rebates were doubled under Budget 2025 and Assurance Package enhancements. Eligible HDB households received:
| HDB Flat Type | Total U-Save (FY2025) | Per Quarter (Approx) |
| 1-/2-room | $760 | $190 |
| 3-room | $680 | $170 |
| 4-room | $600 | $150 |
| 5-room | $520 | $130 |
| Executive/Multi-gen | $440 | $110 |
Budget 2026 will determine whether FY2026 (April 2026 to January 2027) continues at these enhanced levels or adjusts based on economic conditions.
GST Voucher – S&CC (FY2026: Apr 2026 to Jan 2027)
For FY2025, eligible HDB households received between 1.5 to 3.5 months of S&CC rebates, distributed quarterly. The exact amount varied by flat type and household circumstances.
Similar to U-Save, Budget 2026 will confirm the FY2026 S&CC rebate amounts.
Other Government support in 2026 (NOT part of GST Voucher)
Beyond the GST Voucher scheme, there are a few other support programmes you should know about. These are separate schemes—not part of GST Voucher—but they're worth claiming if you're eligible.
CDC Vouchers $300 (Part of Assurance Package)
Important: CDC Vouchers are part of the Assurance Package, NOT the GST Voucher scheme. They're a different form of support altogether.
Every Singaporean household can claim **$300 in CDC Vouchers** right now (as of January 2026). This is the final tranche of the $800 CDC Vouchers announced in Budget 2025.
How CDC Vouchers Work:
| Category | Amount | Where to Use |
| Hawkers & Heartland Merchants | $150 | Look for teal CDC decals |
| Supermarkets | $150 | Look for yellow CDC decals |
Who qualifies for CDC Vouchers?
- Every Singaporean household (as long as there's at least one Singapore Citizen)
- No income cap, no property cap, no age restrictions—this is universal support, full stop.
How to claim:
Head to go.gov.sg/cdcv, log in with your Singpass, select "CDC Vouchers 2026 (January)", and you're done. You'll get an SMS with your unique voucher link. Only one household member needs to claim it, then you can share the link with everyone in your family.
The vouchers are valid until 31 Dec 2026, so you've got time. Participating merchants include NTUC FairPrice, Giant, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage, and most hawker centres with CDC decals.
SG60 Vouchers $600-$800 (One-Time celebration)
If you haven't claimed your SG60 Vouchers yet, you're leaving money on the table. These were Singapore's 60th birthday gift to citizens, and they're still valid until 31 Dec 2026.
Who qualifies for SG60 Vouchers?
- All Singapore Citizens aged 21 and above in 2025
- No income or property restrictions—literally everyone who meets the age requirement gets this.
How much you get:
- Ages 21-59: $600
- Ages 60 and above: $800
How to claim:
Visit vouchers.sg60.gov.sg and log in with your Singpass. The process is similar to CDC Vouchers—you'll get a unique link via SMS. If you claimed in 2025 and still have balance left, you can keep using them until the end of 2026.
Other support programmes worth checking out
Depending on your situation, there might be other schemes you qualify for:
- Workfare Income Supplement (WIS): For workers aged 30 and above earning $500-$3,000 per month. Check your eligibility at the CPF website.
- Silver Support Scheme: For lower-income seniors aged 65 and above. Provides quarterly cash payouts.
- ComCare: For households facing financial difficulties. Apply through your local Social Service Office.
These schemes all have their own eligibility criteria and application processes. For a full overview of what you might qualify for, visit SupportGoWhere.
