For people like me who make effort to head to Changi Airport hours before my flight just to go duty-free shopping, iShopChangi is a real godsend.
I say first ah: This article isn’t sponsored – I just really, really love the idea of online duty-free shopping. It may end up sounding like an advertorial, but that’s only because I genuinely don’t see why anyone (assuming you already plan to go wild at DFS Changi Airport) would NOT shop on iShopChangi.
Here’s everything you need to know about iShopChangi, current promo codes, and more money-saving hacks to further maximise your savings.
What is iShopChangi & who can shop on iShopChangi?
iShopChangi is the online version of DFS at Changi Airport. At iShopChangi.com, you can shop for cosmetics, electronics, alcohol, fashion apparel and even food. The prices are the same as the physical stores – except for the online-exclusive flash sales, but those will be clearly labelled – so you won’t lose out in any sense.
All prices are tax-free, and up to 60% cheaper than city retail prices.
Now, I don’t think I should need to mention this, but in case you really super goondu… duty-free shopping is for travellers! So please don’t expect to “siam” GST for no good reason. This perk is strictly reserved for those travelling.
You’re eligible as long as your flight is arriving or departing from Singapore Changi Airport, and you can make your online order anytime between 1 month to 12 hours before your flight.
Like most e-commerce stores, you can use your credit card for payment. Upon checkout, you will need to pick your preferred collection point and terminal or schedule delivery.
There are iShopChangi collection counters at every terminal and you should collect your purchase at least 1 hour before you take off.

iShopChangi on ShopBack – additional $6 cash back
If you don’t already know, ShopBack is an online shopping platform that gives you cash rebates when you shop with their merchant partners via ShopBack.
iShopChangi is one such merchant, so you can earn extra savings through ShopBack. You can either head to ShopBack.com first and then click into iShopChangi, or you can download a browser extension.
The cashback can be a percentage of your purchase sum or a flat fee, and it varies depending on the merchant. For iShopChangi, it is $6 cash back.
The minimum spend is $20, which is pretty easy to hit. Aside from gift cards, you can use anything on iShopChangi to make up the sum, including alcohol purchases.
iShopChangi Millionaire – lucky draw for S$1,000,000 & an electric Jaguar car
So you’ve probably heard about Changi Airport’s very own lottery lucky draw – Changi Millionaire. Since 2010, Changi Airport has been handing out $1mil to one lucky winner per year. The current cycle is for shoppers with receipts between Mar 2019 to Feb 2020.
You get 1 chance when you spend $50 in a single receipt, and 100 chances for $200 in a single receipt. That sounds quite sian, but you can increase your chances by signing up as a Changi Rewards member (you get 10X the chances!).
The lucky draw is not limited to iShopChangi, so you can submit your physical DFS shopping receipt for more chances too.
They only give out $1mil once (it’s the grand prize!), but there’s a weekly $10,000 draw too. There’s also a car prize (Jaguar I-Pace) up for grabs.
Some people have complained that “only foreigners win”, so I took a look at the list of previous winners. Most of them are indeed tourists, but in 2010 and 2012 the grand prize winners were locals.
So you got chance lah, don’t worry!
Free local delivery service – min. spend S$380
You can purchase bulky stuff like electronics on iShopChangi, so if you don’t want to lug everything with you everywhere, you can try to spend enough to score free delivery.
You’ll need to spend above $380, but it’s only applicable for selected items from The Shilla Duty Free (beauty & cosmetics) and Sprint Cass (electronics). Eligible products will be denoted with a green “house” icon on the product listing page. When you check out, you will need to pick a delivery date that’s between 2 to 30 days after your flight back to Singapore.
If you miss the delivery, they will try one more time on the next available date, but if you miss that too, there’ll be a $20 re-delivery fee.
