15 Best Mother’s Day 2024 Dining Deals in Singapore: Mums Dine Free, Credit Card Promos, And More

mothers-day-2024-dining-deals-promotions

Many of my core memories with my mother take place over good food.

They say mum’s cooking is the best cooking, but for my mother, no cooking is the best cooking. She would take a quaint café, bottomless brunch, or afternoon high tea any day over having to step into the kitchen and do all the hard work herself.

Worse still would be if I donned the chef’s hat for the day and subjected her to my cooking. Ugh, everybody loses!

So on Mother’s Day, I do things my mother’s way. Bring on the hotel buffets and restaurant set menus!

Mother’s Day 2024 is on 12 May 2024. Here’s a round up of the 15 best mum-dines-free promotions and buffet deals for the season.

A post shared by Wildseed Café & Bar (@wildseedsg)

Tired of the usual hotel buffets and looking for something more memorable this year? Then head to Wildseed Café @ Alkaff Mansion for a change of scenery.

The cafe is organising a Mother’s Day brunch platter and high tea, priced at $88++ for 2-3 people and $68++ for 2 people respectively. As far as Mother’s Day meals go, these are rather economical choices.

The Mother’s Day Brunch Platter menu includes hearty dishes like pan-seared Norwegian salmon steak and a gourmet charcuterie board with kurobuta ham, and is available from 3 – 12 May 2024 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m..

For brunch, you can also opt for their Mother’s Day à la carte dishes from 1 – 12 May 2024. If you’re ordering the Grilled Salmon Special ($35++) on 12 May (Mother’s Day itself), you won’t have to splurge on over-priced flowers—the café will be gifting mum a complimentary mini bloom bouquet.

Take the atas level up a notch with Wildseed’s Mum’s Magnificent High Tea, available 1 – 31 May 2024 from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.. On the menu is serrano ham kueh pie tee, seafood croquettes, caramel apple cheesecake shooters, chocolate sangria cake and more. The set is good for 2 people, and you each get a coffee or tea of your choice. Every high tea set also comes with a complimentary Pixi Beauty product that’s hinted to be Hello Kitty-themed.

A post shared by Ginger.Lily (@ginger.lilysingapore)

If petite, quaint and pretty is your mum’s vibe, the botanical-inspired afternoon tea at Hilton Orchard’s Ginger.Lily is bloomin’ perfect.

This Mother’s Day 2024, Ginger.Lily is offering a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea featuring edible flowers adorning delicate Japanese sweets. Inspired by the flavours of Nikkei cuisine, this afternoon tea experience brings together the best of Japanese and Peruvian tastes harmoniously and deliciously.

Savoury dishes include Kurobuta Pork Sando, Maguro Chu-Toro, and Shishamo with Sriracha and Jalapeños. For sweets, tuck into their Muscat Anise Shortcake, Mikan Cacao Pepper Choux, and Hokkaido Potato Moelleux.

All sets cost $68++ per pax and come with your choice of tea from Gifel Tea, or top up an additional $20++ for a glass of champagne.

7. Estate Grand Champagne Brunch at Hilton Singapore ($188++/pax)

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Estate (@estaterestaurant)

Determined to spare no expense when it comes to celebrating this special lady in your life? Well, it doesn’t get more opulent than the Mother’s Day Grand Champagne Brunch at Estate, Hilton Singapore. I’ve made my rounds at different hotel buffets around Singapore, and I have to say that the buffet at Estate takes the cake for being the most extensive and expensive.

Expect a fancy spread that doesn’t compromise on quality or quantity. We’re talking a Cold Seafood Bar featuring ocean-fresh oysters, Maine Lobsters, and Scallops, a Charcuterie Station featuring Prosciutto de Parma and Mortadella Ham with Pistachio, and a whopping 32 types of European Cheeses that take up a whole wall by themselves. Oh, and that’s just the appetisers.

For mains, dig into Estate’s Signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck, a Whole Roast Porchetta Roll, Singapore Chilli Crab with MantouLamb Shish Kebab, and a sumptuous spread of dim sum.

Cool off with Pandan Gula Melaka Gelato atop Crispy Mochi Waffles, and don’t miss the Estate Signature Chocolate Cake that I can personally vouch for.

Kids get their own corner with favourites like mac and cheese and chicken nuggets, plus activities like colouring, canvas painting, board games and a roving magician act that’ll keep them entertained long after their tummies are full.

The price of the champagne brunch is already pretty steep at $188++, but if your mum really likes her bubbly, you can pay an additional $50++ top up for a free flow of champagne. Children aged 6 – 12 dine at half the adult prices, while those younger than 6 dine for free—limited to 2 children per paying couple.

Dine at Estate on 12 May 2024 from 12 – 3 p.m. to enjoy their Estate Mother’s Day Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch.

Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts is well-known for its Halal-certified international buffet that includes seafood, Mediterranean, Asian, and Japanese fare. This year on 11 and 12 May 2024, they’re organising 3 Mother’s Day buffets, lunch, high tea, and dinner, making it easy to fit a meal into your and your mum’s schedule. To celebrate mums, Carousel will be giving every mum a heart-shaped cookie door gift during lunch and dinner dining sessions.

Carousel has been named “Best Buffet Restaurant in Singapore” at the Asia One People’s Choice Awards seven times, so it’s going to be a popular choice this Mother’s Day. Best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

The best part is that you can take 15% off your food bill at Carousel with a DBS/POSB or UOB credit card. Here are the buffet prices before discount:

  • Lunch (12 p.m. to 2 p.m.): $82++ for adults and $41++ for children between 4 and 11 years old
  • High tea (3 p.m. to 5 p.m.): $64++ for adults and $35++ for children between 4 and 11 years old
  • Dinner (6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.): $108++ for adults and $52++ for children between 4 and 11 years old

Best dining credit cards for Mother’s Day 2024

The easiest way to enjoy a discount on your meal this Mother’s Day 2024 isn’t to chase promotions or deals doled out by the restaurant, but to choose the right credit card to earn cashback or miles with.

You aren’t going to get crazy good rates like 50% cashback, but you’re not limiting yourself to the small group of restaurants with Mother’s Day promotions. Did you know there are about 5,400 restaurants on this island?

If you spend a minimum of $800 a month on your credit card, use the Citi Cash Back Card for 6% on dining spend or the OCBC 365 Credit Card for 5% cashback on dining spend.
