French food has a reputation for being atas and expensive which, most of the time, it is, at least in Singapore. Most of the French eateries in Singapore are indeed on the pricey side—you’re not going to see French Express or FoieGrasMania chains anytime soon.
But thanks to The Entertainer, you get to have your cake and eat it too. The app gets you 1-for-1 mains at several French restaurants in Singapore, where you can eat your fill without feeling the pinch. Here’s where to go.
Praelum Wine Bistro

Praelum Wine Bistro is a cosy wine bar slash wine cellar at Duxton Hill that serves good food and a wide range of wines from Italy, Germany and France. Its location is perfect for corporate professionals who are seeking to wind down at the end of a long work day.
Pair your wine with mains such as Braised Beef Cheeks, Root Vegetables & Forest Mushrooms (S$41.20 nett) and Salmon-En-route, Pastry Wrap with Dill-Tarragon Butter (S$41.20 nett). The bistro is managed by Gerald Lu, the vice chairman of the Sommelier Association of Singapore and two-time National Sommelier Champion.
With The Entertainer’s 1-for-1 mains offer, you can slash the price of your meal even further and enjoy scrumptious French classics for just $20 per pax.

Napoleon Food & Wine Bar
Despite the name, Napoleon does not fall short, at least not when it comes to their food and wine menus. While they are first and foremost a wine specialist, they’ve got some decent snacks that you can have with your wine.
The Entertainer gets you 1-for-1 on mains and a platter, so get a cheese platter ($8/$18/$32 for S/M/L) or cold cuts platter ($8/$18/$32 for S/M/L) to share.

Stamford Brasserie
Stamford Brasserie opened in Swissotel in the middle of 2018, offering a beautiful industrial chic space where you can enjoy scrumptious meals by head chef Tryson Quek. The open kitchen concept allows you to look in on the action, where the chefs and cooks make dishes from scratch.
Mains include traditional shepherd’s lamb pie, country style ragout and prawn toast, all of which you can enjoy 1-for-1 with The Entertainer app.

Tropique Cafe and Restaurant
For true savings, however, you’d have to head to Johor Bahru. While one doesn’t typically associate Johor Bahru with atas French food, it’s probably because you have not visited Tropique Cafe and Restaurant yet.
The restaurant is housed in an airy shophouse with large ceiling windows and clean aesthetics. As you look out to the greenery and wide open carpark outside, you can enjoy main courses such as Cassoulet, a mixed Bean Stew, deconstructed shepherd’s pie and a salmon sashimi Poke Bowl. If you’re feeling like pasta, you can choose from Scallop Laksta (laksa/pasta) or Quail Egg Carbonara.
