JB has more than its fair share, and Shakespeare Milkshakes gives our own Tiong Bahru enclave a run for its money with an impeccably furnished interior that channels Scandinavian chic. As the name suggests, they specialise in massive milkshakes. If the sugar isn’t too much for you, enjoy one-for-one milkshakes and waffles with The Entertainer.

Faculty of Caffeine

If the name sounds vaguely familiar, you might be thinking of Singapore’s now-defunct Department of Caffeine on Duxton Road. No, Faculty of Caffeine in Johor Bahru wasn’t founded by the same people, but it could have been, with similar hearty breakfast platters, fusion pastas and waffle. Knock the price down further with one-for-one main courses courtesy of The Entertainer.

Must-try: Sample the smoked duck aglio olio, which costs RM18.90 (6.24 SGD) or even less with The Entertainer’s 1-for-1 deal.
