But sometimes, all you want is Chinese food, plain and simple.

Thanks to The Entertainer mobile app, you can now enjoy Chinese cuisine at half price, thanks to their 1-for-1 mains offer.

Despite its generic-sounding name, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant is actually one of Singapore’s top Cantonese restaurants and has won awards.

Located at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, the restaurant offers Cantonese favourites such as braised lobster and braised beef short-rib, executed to perfection.

Of course, the food doesn’t come cheap, but with The Entertainer, you enjoy 1-for-1 mains, so don’t be afraid to go for the roast duck, which ordinarily costs $80, or the stir-fried scallop, prawn and celery with black truffle sauce, which usually costs $42/$63/$84 for a small/medium/large portion.

Address: 320 Orchard Road, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

There are also various dips available for you to enjoy your fresh seafood with.

Of course, it is not cheap, but thanks to the Entertainer you enjoy 1-for-1 mains, so go ahead and order that Chili Crab, which usually costs $37.45, or Steamed Pomfret in Black Bean Sauce at half of $57.80.

In my previous life, I was a property lawyer who spent most of my time struggling to get out of bed or stuck in peak hour traffic. These days, as a freelance commercial writer, I work in bed, on the beach, in parks and at cafes, all while being really frugal. I like helping other people save money so they can stop living lives they don't like.
