There’s a new $120,000 credit card on the block. And it’s… *drumroll* the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card! Recently launched on 23 June, this could be your next favourite card as you can earn rewards in a variety of spending categories, at much more attractive rates than entry-level credit cards. In addition, your rewards can be converted to miles or cashback every month.
Other than offering some of the best rewards earn rates in Singapore, the card also offers a series of luxurious privileges such as a complimentary one-night Accor Plus hotel stay, local dining privileges and airport lounge access.
This card is like a rare Pokemon, highly sought-after and available to those who earn more than $120,000 every year. We don’t earn enough to qualify (yet), but sign us up when that day comes!
For those in this income bracket, here’s what you get with this shiny new premium miles/cashback credit card.
1. Fantastic earn rates
Whether you’re aiming for air miles or cashback, the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card offers fantastic earn rates. For instance, the card’s maximum earn rate is a sweet 4 miles per dollar, equivalent to 4% cashback (capped at the first $2,000 worth of spending per calendar month).
Here’s a breakdown of the various earn rates:
DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card |
Miles | Cashback |
Local spending |
1.5 miles per dollar* |
1.5% |
Foreign currency spending (no minimum spending requirement) |
2.2 miles per dollar* |
2.2% |
Accelerated earn rate on dining and petrol (capped at first $2,000 spent per calendar month) (till 31 Dec 2022) | 4 miles per dollar |
4% |
*Best-in-class earn rate for affluent cards in Singapore
As you can see, the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card offers best-in-class earn rates among affluent cards for both local spending and foreign currency spending. The accelerated dining and petrol earn rates are also extremely generous, catering to affluent users who drive and/or like to enjoy good food.
So, how do these earn rates compare to those offered by other credit cards for those with an annual income of $120,000 and above?
Local earn rate
Well, the local earn rate for the other cards on the Singapore market ranges from 0.69 miles per dollar to 1.4 miles per dollar.
Foreign spending earn rate
As for the foreign currency spending earn rate, competitors’ earn rates range from 0.78 miles per dollar to 2.2 miles per dollar.
2. Toggle between miles & cashback
Another of the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card’s greatest strengths is its flexibility. The card lets you switch between miles and cashback every month without having to incur conversion fees.
This lets you benefit fully from the card no matter what happens in life. For instance, due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, many people’s air miles went to waste. If they’d been using something like the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card, they could simply have switched to cashback instead of air miles.
And how so, you ask? Well, with the DBS digibank app, you can check your balance and toggle between miles and cashback quickly and easily.
3. Aligned to your lifestyle
Besides excellent earn rates, the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card also comes with a host of attractive privileges that make it easier to enjoy the finer things in life.
These include the following:
- Accor Plus Explorer Membership – can be redeemed for a one-night stay overseas or a staycation in Singapore.
- Dining City – Real-time online table reservations and up to 50% discount year-long at high-end restaurants.
- Airport lounge access – 10 free lounge visits within each membership year
- 25,000 miles upon signup or annual renewal
Dining

You can instantly view availability of tables and confirm your dates and time slots on the app. Any blackout dates will be clearly indicated under each restaurant so you have ample time to plan for your special occasion!
When the date of your reservation approaches, the Dining City platform will send you reminder emails. This is a lifesaver for busy people like yourself who are juggling numerous appointments.
You can also receive discounts of up to 50% at chic dining establishments regardless of the number of people dining.
Accor Plus Explorer Membership
The DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card is one of the few affluent bracket credit cards in Singapore to offer an Accor Plus Explorer membership. As an Accor Plus Explorer member, you will receive a complimentary one-night stay. Select from over 1,000 luxury hotels worldwide, including brand names like Sofitel, Fairmont and Swissôtel.
You also get up to 50% discount on F&B spending at Sofitel, Fairmont, Swissôtel and over 1,400 restaurants worldwide.
Miles earn rate
Jetsetters enjoy excellent miles earn rates, including accelerated earn rates on petrol and dining, and best-in-class earn rates on local and foreign currency spending. Before you know it, you’ll be exchanging your miles for a free air ticket to an exotic destination!
As mentioned earlier, the miles earn rates are as follows:
DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card | Miles per dollar (mpd) |
Local spending | 1.5 |
Foreign currency spending | 2.2 |
Dining and petrol (until 31 Dec 2022) | 4 |
Let’s say you have spent $1,000 on dining and petrol in addition to another $3,000 of local spending and $1,000 of foreign currency spending.
Including the signup or renewal miles you receive every year, here’s how many miles you would have:
DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card | Miles earned |
Local spending | $3,000 x 1.5 mpd = 4,500 miles |
Foreign currency spending | $1,000 x 2.2 mpd = 2,200 miles |
Dining and petrol (until 31 Dec 2022) | $1,000 x 4 mpd = 4,000 miles |
Signup/renewal miles | 25,000 |
Total miles earned | 35,700 |
Whoa. That’s more than enough for a return ticket to Bali or a one-way ticket to Hong Kong!
4. Last but not least, annual fee is waivable
Very few affluent credit cards waive annual fees, but the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card does. YAAAS.
You automatically get a free annual fee waiver when you spend at least $60,000 in a year!
Even if the $550 (excluding GST) annual fee might be no biggie, it’s still nice to know you can get a waiver when you deserve it.
And if you can’t hit $60,000, no worries, you’ll get a nice offset of 25,000 bonus miles for paying the annual fee.
With the DBS Vantage Visa Infinite Card, attaining the finer things in life just got easier. Sign up now for fantastic earn rates as well as richer travelling and dining experiences.
