Lazada has earned itself quite a reputation for being a cheap, online marketplace for just about everything, from clothes and accessories to groceries and pet supplies. In fact, according to iPrice’s research, Lazada is the most popular e-commerce platform in Singapore (Q3 2019), beating out rivals Qoo10 and Shopee, which came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
But nothing is ever cheap enough for us — before carting out, we must always check for promo codes. Lazada has a ton of tie-ups with the banks in Singapore, so read on to find out the promo codes for your credit card(s).
Lazada promo codes / vouchers in Singapore 2020
Lazada used to offer vouchers of $10 to $35 off — with a minimum spend of course, so effectively 10% to 13.3% off — for existing users, but most of these expired in Dec 2019.
Lazada promo codes for existing users — none
Currently, aside from the festive promotions (which all expire by 14 Jan 2020), there are no more discounts for existing users. Boo.
Lazada promo codes for new users — $8 off min. $20
If, by some miracle you are a new customer, then you can get $8 off a minimum spend of $20 with Maybank, UOB, HSBC, Standard Chartered, DBS/POSB and Citibank cards (valid till 31 Dec 2020).
The T&Cs for most of them are the same. Generally, it’s limited to the first 1,000 redemptions monthly and only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps.
That means you can’t shop on your desktop/laptop or use a browser on your phone. You need the mobile application.
There’s no promo code per se. Instead, Lazada’s discounts are issued through a “voucher” system. What’s that? Read on to find out.
How to collect & use Lazada voucher codes?
As of July 2019, Lazada has scrapped most of the old promo codes. Now, instead of promo codes, you collect Lazada vouchers, similar to Qoo10’s cart coupons.
In the past, you had rush to be the first X people to enter the Lazada credit card promo code at checkout at a certain time each week. This probably caused Lazada’s payment gateways to crash or something, because they’ve switched over almost fully to the voucher format.
With vouchers, it’s slightly more relaxed. You just have to open your app and log in, collect the voucher from the “vouchers” page, and use it within a week. The vouchers may run out, so it’s best to collect them as soon as you catch wind of any particular promotion.
There’s not so much “competition” for the new-user ones mentioned above, but the same cannot be said for the seasonal campaigns (e.g. Chinese New Year and Christmas discounts) where existing customers can redeem vouchers too.
After the vouchers are collected and sitting safely in your account, you have a week to utilise them. So there’s no need to rush your purchase.
Vouchers are automatically applied at checkout when you use the relevant credit card. If you have multiple credit cards in your account, Lazada displays the eligible discount next to each card so you can choose the right one.

- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20
- First 1,000 redemptions monthly
- Only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps

Gotta be quick for this one: practically all Singaporeans have an DBS/POSB credit card, so it’s not surprising that these vouchers are usually fully redeemed the fastest.
Best DBS/POSB credit card to use for Lazada: DBS Live Fresh Card
The DBS Live Fresh card offers a neat 5% cash back (capped at $20 per month) on all online purchases. If you apply through MoneySmart, you can get up to $180 cashback as a welcome gift (new DBS/POSB cardholders only, until Mar 2020) when you spend at least $600 in your first month.
Alternatively, if you’re a Lazada junkie, you can apply directly via DBS with the promo code DBSLAZ for $200 worth of Lazada vouchers (new DBS/POSB cardholders only).
Lazada UOB promo code 2020
- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20

Best UOB credit card to use for Lazada: UOB Lady’s Card
The UOB Lady’s Card is a great rewards card for shopping in general — it offers a generous 10X rewards for any particular category of your preference, with one of the choices being “fashion”.
Although it sounds like it’s only applicable for dresses and handbags, it’s not. According to the T&Cs, the category includes department stores (MCC 5311) like Lazada too.
If you are a big spender, you can consider the UOB One Card too. It offers $50/$100/$300 cashback if you can spend $500/$1,000/$2,000 monthly.
Lazada Citibank promo codes 2020
- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20
- First 1,000 redemptions monthly
- Only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps
- Valid till 31 Dec 2020
Best Citibank credit cards to use for Lazada: Citibank Lazada Card
As its name suggests, the Citi Lazada Card was literally made for shopping on Lazada. It offers 12X rewards (until Feb 2020) or 10X rewards (Mar 2020 onwards) on your Laz shopping, which is quite good.
New Citi cardholders will also receive $150 Lazada vouchers and a free 1-year LiveUp membership. The only thing is that this excludes RedMart purchases, so that’s a bummer.
It is the same for the Citi Rewards Card (which also offers 10X rewards on Lazada), except the Citi Rewards Card’s bonus rewards is also applicable for other clothing and accessories stores, as well as Grab and taxi rides.
Lazada Standard Chartered promo codes 2020
- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20
- First 1,000 redemptions monthly
- Only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps
- Valid till 31 Dec 2020
Best Standard Chartered credit card to use on Lazada: Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Card
Offering only 1.5% cashback, the Standard Chartered cashback card does not seem that impressive at first glance. It is, however, one of my favourites because of how easy it is to use.
It offers a flat 1.5% on everything, so you don’t have to think about MCCs and etc. There’s no cashback cap too. This means you can swipe for both Lazada and RedMart and get rebates for them all.
HSBC Lazada promo codes 2020
- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20
- First 1,000 redemptions monthly
- Only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps
- Valid till 31 Dec 2020
Best HSBC credit card to use on Lazada: HSBC Revolution Card
Like the Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback card, the HSBC Revolution Card’s main appeal is its ease of use. You earn a decent 5X rewards on all online purchases; no minimum spend, no annual fees (for 2 years).
Maybank Lazada promo codes 2020
- No promo code needed, just collect voucher
- Get $8 off min. $20
- First 1,000 redemptions monthly
- Only valid on the Lazada iOS and Android apps
- Valid till 31 Dec 2020
Best Maybank credit card to use on Lazada: Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card
Alright, we know that this card sounds like an exclusive for soccer fans, but it really isn’t. In fact, it’s like any other card — especially the Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback card.
The only difference is that you get 1.6% cashback on everything instead.
Should you also sign up for Lazada LiveUp?
We used to recommend stacking your promo codes with Lazada’s loyalty programme, LiveUp, which used to let you earn 8% rebates (with a Citi card) or 5% (other cards) on every purchase on Lazada. Even if you paid the $28.80 for annual membership, you could still break even after just a few purchases.
But as of 1 July 2019, LiveUp into was officially downgraded. Summary of changes below:
Old LiveUp | New LiveUp | |
Free trial? | 60 days | None |
Membership fee | $28.80/year | $5.99/month or $59.90/year |
RedMart free delivery | Min. spend $40 | Min. spend $40 |
Rebates (regular) | 5% | 4% on LazMall and RedMart only |
Rebates (Citi cards) | 8% | Same as regular |
Rebate cap | $30/month | $50/month |
Rebate expiry | 30 days | 30 days |
It might still be worth it if you order a lot of stuff from RedMart, but note that you will not earn LiveUp rebates on regular Lazada marketplace purchases — only LazMall (official stores, usually more expensive or limited).
The only positive change is that Lazada has increased the LiveUp rebate cap to $50 a month, up from $30.
You need to use up your rebate on your next Lazada order within 30 days of receiving it, otherwise, poof! It disappears on you, just like all your drinking buddies when you try to get them to PayLah you back for last month’s beer session.
More credit cards for online shopping
If you can’t find a suitable promo code for your Lazada purchase — probably an existing user… — consider using one of these cashback cards for online shopping:

They may not have dedicated Lazada promo codes, but you might find that the card rebates give you a better deal anyway. Make sure you check the minimum spending requirements and cashback cap before you cart out, though.
Banks have been tightening the cashback caps on online expenditure, so you better read the fine print to make sure your Lazada purchases (MCC 5311 — department stores) are eligible.
There – you’re all set for your Lazada shopping spree. Now get out there and save some money (while spending money).
