VivoCity Parking Rates 2019 + 4 Alternative Carparks for Cheap Parking Nearby

vivocity parking rates singapore 2018

Unless you’re a seasoned regular at the HarbourFront area, most Singaporeans automatically chiong straight to the Vivo car park, heedless of the VivoCity parking rates. Which might explain why parking there can be quite a pain as the lots fill up fast, despite the car park’s size.

What you might not know is that there are at least 4 alternative car parks in the vicinity for either cheaper or more plentiful parking lots. Hooray! But first, let’s have a look at the VivoCity parking charges:

VivoCity parking rates 2019

Mon to Fri Sat, Sun, eve of PH and PH
7am to 6pm $1.20 for first hour / $0.60 per 30 min thereafter $1.40 for first hour / $0.70 per 30 min thereafter
6pm to 4am $3 per entry $3.50 per entry
4am to 7am $2.50 per entry $2.50 per entry

If the crowds are anything to go by, tonnes of people seem to spend all day milling around VivoCity. If you’re going to be spending a lot of time here in the day, you might get a shock when you exit the car park.

You can cut down on VivoCity parking charges by signing up for the VivoRewards programme. Download the VivoCity SG app (yes, there is one…) to sign up as a member.

After spending money at VivoCity, you can use the app to submit your receipts which let you earn REWARD$. These points can be used to offset the car park fees. Incidentally the app also has a feature to help you locate available parking lots which saves you time too.

Okay, but what if you’re not really there to shop – but you just want to hop on the Sentosa Express or party at St James Power Station? Then you might want to check out some alternative car parks near VivoCity in the tables below.

Cheapest parking around VivoCity – weekdays before 6pm

Where to park Parking rates (weekdays before 6pm)
Tanjong Pagar Distripark $1 per hour from 7am to 5pm / $2 per entry from 5pm onwards
Seah Im (URA carpark) $0.60 per 30 min
VivoCity $1.20 for first hour / $0.60 per 30 min thereafter
Harbourfront Centre $1.40 for first hour / $0.70 per 30 min thereafter
Keppel Bay Tower / Harbourfront Tower $1.03 per 30 min

If you’re coming on a weekday morning or afternoon, parking at VivoCity is actually a decent option, as it’s on par with the rates for the massive URA open air car park behind Seah Im Food Centre (across the road from Vivo).

Technically you can save 20 cents per hour if you park at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, but don’t bo liao lah – it’s a 20-minute walk in the sun, which is the sort of exertion that average Singaporeans would rather pay $200/month for at a gym.

Plus, the VivoCity carpark will be a deserted haven compared to the madhouse it turns into on weekends.

Cheapest parking around VivoCity – weekdays after 6pm

Where to park Parking rates (weekdays after 6pm)
Seah Im (URA carpark) $0.60 per 30 min (capped at $5 from 10:30pm to 7am)
Tanjong Pagar Distripark $2 per entry
Harbourfront Centre $2.60 per entry until 1am
VivoCity $3 per entry until 4am
Keppel Bay Tower / Harbourfront Tower $1.03 per 30 min from 6pm to 7pm / $3.10 per entry from 7pm to 1am

If you’re planning to go to VivoCity for dinner at Hai Di Lao, it’s going to take a while, so it’s best to find parking at Seah Im carpark, the big URA carpark behind the bus interchange and food centre.

In case you’re wondering, this carpark is about a 10-minute walk away, but it’s linked to VivoCity by overhead bridge (via Harbourfront Centre) or you can walk by the MRT underpass.

Alternatively, park at Harbourfront Centre for a flat $2.60 per entry. It’s just next to VivoCity but generally less crowded after working hours as it’s an office building.

Cheapest parking around VivoCity – weekends

Where to park Parking rates (weekends)
Tanjong Pagar Distripark Sat: $1 per hour from 7am to 1pm / $2 per entry from 1pm onwards

Sun & PH: free

Seah Im (URA carpark) $0.60 per half hour (capped at $5 from 10:30pm to 7am)
Harbourfront Centre $1.40 for first hour / $0.70 per 30 min thereafter from 7am to 6pm / $2.60 per entry from 6pm to 1am
VivoCity $1.40 for first hour / $0.70 per 30 min thereafter from 7am to 6pm / $3.50 per entry from 6pm to 4am
Keppel Bay Tower / Harbourfront Tower $1.03 per 30 min from 6pm to 7pm / $3.10 per entry from 7pm to 1am

No surprises here – the cheapest place to park near VivoCity on the weekends is still Seah Im carpark. Unfortunately all the regulars (e.g. those who take the boat across to Batam every weekend) know about this carpark, so it will most probably be crowded AF.

If you’re going to be spending a loooong time in the area, like if you’re going to play at Sentosa all day, it’s well worth considering parking at Tanjong Pagar Distripark as it’s super cheap after 1pm on Saturdays and totally free on Sundays and public holidays. Just be warned as it’s a 20-minute walk from VivoCity, but hey, people have been known to do crazier things for free shit.

If you’re merely popping by for dinner and a movie, consider Harbourfront Centre for a flat $2.60 per entry after 6pm. It’ll save you only 90 cents, but at least you’re not going to be trapped in a jammed carpark all night.

Cheapest parking around VivoCity – late night

Where to park Parking rates (late night)
Seah Im (URA carpark) $0.60 per half hour (capped at $5 from 10:30pm to 7am)
VivoCity Weekdays: $3 per entry until 4am / $2.50 per hour from 4am to 7am

Weekends: $3.50 per entry from 6pm to 4am / $2.50 per hour from 4am to 7am

Harbourfront Centre $2.60 per entry from 6pm to 1am / $2.04 per hour from 1am to 7am
Keppel Bay Tower / Harbourfront Tower $3.10 per entry from 7pm to 1am / $3.10 per hour after 1am

Do you usually park at VivoCity late at night purely because St James Power Station charges exorbitant parking fees? Well, you shouldn’t be mixing alcohol and automobiles, but you’re right, it’s a good deal to pay just $3 or $3.50 per entry all the way till 4am.

However, you must GTFO by 4am because that’s when the rates suddenly go up to $2.50 an hour. Yikes. If you’re the kind who really chiongs all the way until sunrise, good old Seah Im carpark might be a better choice.
