The OCBC Premier Banking Debit Card isn’t too shabby for a debit card, with 1% rebate on overseas spending and duty-free shops in Singapore, as well as selected online merchants, transport, fast food and convenience stores in Singapore.
Minimum requirement to become an OCBC Premier customer
To become an OCBC priority banking customer, you need to deposit or invest at least $200,000 with OCBC.
OCBC Premier travel benefits
Besides the accrual of air miles and use of VIP Plaza Premium Airport lounges using your OCBC Premier Voyage Card, customers also enjoy Lounge Key Access. Basically, for 27 USD per visit per person, you access to more than 800 LoungeKey lounges.
You can also opt to engage a dedicated VIP Meet & Greet agent who escorts you through the airport when you’re about to catch a flight. At selected airports, you get to jump the queue when going through security and immigration.
Other perks include being able to use the JetQuay Quayside single trip service for free and free limousine transfer services at preferential rates.
There are also discounts on flights with certain fares on Emirates, and perks such as free breakfast and free room upgrades at Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, Rio De Janeiro, Singapore and Taipei.
Finally, you get free travel insurance when you pay for your travel tickets with your OCBC Premier World Elite Debit Card.
OCBC Premier preferential rates
Premier customers are entitled to open an OCBC Premier Dividend+ Savings Account, which offers interest of up to 1.65% per year. To qualify for this interest, you need to deposit at least $2,000 monthly. If you don’t make deposits but also don’t make withdrawals, you earn interest of 1.15% per year.
That’s a very attractive interest rate, and the main requirement is that you deposit $50,000 into the account with fresh funds.
You also get preferential interest rates on other bank accounts like the OCBC 360 bank accounts, as well as some products like time deposits.
Other OCBC Premier benefits
You are entitled to some dining benefits which include discounts at selected establishments like Bedrock Bar and Grill and Fat Cow when you pay with the OCBC Premier World Elite Debit Mastercard.
Golfers also enjoy golf benefits like 50% off green fees.
OCBC private client benefits
OCBC Premier divides its customers into two tiers—regular customers with deposits or investments of at least $200,000, and private Clients with deposits and/or investments of at least $1,000,000.
While some of the benefits remain the same as what regular premier clients get, OCBC private clients do get additional perks like unlimited complimentary airport transfers from home to Changi Airport, access to the OCBC Premier Private Client Lounge at OCBC Centre, more attractive referral fees and an OCBC Premier Private Client VOYAGE card with annual fees waived.
