Since it was introduced earlier this year, the UOB YOLO Card has become the best credit card in Singapore for weekend dining and entertainment. And UOB has made it even better.
To celebrate their win of the Best Credit Card Initiative Award, awarded by Asian Banking & Finance- UOB YOLO is offering an unbeatable bonus of 8% rebate from now till 28 February 2018. The bonus rebate is on top of the regular 8% rebates, which means you get to enjoy up to 16% rebates on your weekend dining and entertainment.
And if that’s not enough reason to sign up for the card, here are 7 other benefits and promotions you can enjoy with the UOB YOLO Card.
1. Enjoy 3% rebates on weekday dining and entertainment, online fashion and travel
Just because you can enjoy up to 16% rebates on weekend dining doesn’t mean you only pull out the UOB YOLO Card once Saturday comes around. The UOB YOLO Card allows you to enjoy 3% rebates the rest of the week on dining and entertainment, as well as shopping online on fashion and key travel websites. The travel sites includes Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Agoda, Expedia etc.. You will also get free travel insurance of up to S$500,000 when you charge your travel tickets to UOB YOLO.
Of course, the rebates you earn from all your spending on the UOB YOLO Card is capped at $60. The bonus rebates, which are capped at $40, only apply to weekend dining and entertainment.
2. Up to $10 off rides with Grab every weekend
From now till 31 December 2017, you can get up to $10 off one Grab ride every weekend. If your ride costs less than $10, that essentially means a free ride! All you need to do is charge the ride to your UOB YOLO card and use the code UOBYOLO.
Do take note that you also have to make at least one dining or entertainment transaction on a weekday prior to that weekend. This promotion is only for the first 200 rides per weekend.
3. 1-for-1 buffets and other dining privileges
UOB has long been known for their dining privileges and the YOLO Card continues that reputation. Not only do you enjoy up to 8% rebates on dining and entertainment, but at selected restaurants you can enjoy 1-for-1 buffets and other dining privileges too.
You can enjoy 1-for-1 buffet lunch and dinner at The Square (both at Furama Riverfront and Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay) and Triple Three at Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
Also, exclusive 1-for-1 deals at Sushi Tei, The White Rabbit etc and up to 10%-20% discounts at various restaurants islandwide with your UOB YOLO Card. These offers are regularly refreshed to include new merchants, so it is best to visit the dedicated UOB YOLO website (Hyperlink to uob.com.sg/yolo) regularly to be in the know of the latest deals or follow them on Instagram @IWANNAYOLO.
4. Best rebate card for your movie and concert dates
The up to 16% rebate promotion applies to Entertainment spending as well. This includes bars, clubs, cinemas and ticketing servicing providers such as Sistic.
On top of that, the UOB YOLO Card gives you additional rebates and perks at cinemas. There is an additional 2% SMART$ rebate at Cathay Cineplexes, so with the 16% rebate you currently earn, that adds up to 18%! For Golden Village, buy 4 tickets for the price of 3.
But YOLO isn’t just about food and entertainment. Signing up for the UOB YOLO Card also means financial benefits.
5. Spending on the UOB YOLO Card counts towards the UOB One Account as well
The UOB One Account is one of the easiest savings accounts in Singapore to earn interest, allowing you to earn up to 3.33% p.a. interest.
Since you should ideally be spending at least $600 on the UOB YOLO Card to enjoy the higher rebates, it also helps you to meet the $500 credit card spend requirement to earn higher interest on the UOB One Account.
6. Kickstart your investment journey with UOB Young Professionals Solution
What’s more, if you sign up for UOB’s Young Professionals Solution, you can channel your earned interest and rebates into investing in unit trusts. With the optional Sweep feature, you can buy unit trusts with your earned interest and cashback rebates and enjoy zero sales charge for your monthly investment.
Sweep only allows you to invest in one unit trust fund – the United SGD Fund, a low to medium risk investment product by UOB. And because it’s optional, you can choose to join or leave and stop channelling your accumulated interest to the unit trust fund anytime.
What’s more, you get a welcome gift if you sign up before 31 March 2018 – $100 worth of unit trusts in the United SGD Fund.
